Ive just "inherited" a severely front-ended VS wagon and was wondering are there any big hassles (computer system etc.) in putting the motor and trans. into a VN sedan. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I have completed this. There are several problems but not impossible. I did it in about three days.
Some of the problems are minor, like exhaust hangers in different spots, headlights have to be rewired internally, AC compressor mounting, gearbox mount

Thanks for that, changing the entire lume looks like a bit of a pain in the proverbial but if it must be done I guess Id better start. Also as Im changing the motor and trans as a unit, I noticed that the VS has a converter lock (power/economy switch) tha

There is so much difference between a VN and VS that it is just not worth trying to "cut in" the VS harness. I too changed the entire motor and box.
Do you want me to email you all the pitfalls?

Just be careful there is no physical engine damage as you said the car was severely front ended!

I did the job over Easter, hence some of the info. SO if you are intersted in converting VN to VS, here is what I found. The only reason I did it was I too had a crashed VS for a good pricee and a VN that needed some work. So 4 days work was a small sacra
