Just checking. If I put a VT auto behind a VN engine, and have a VT ECU and harness, what else needs changing? The dizzy only? Or is there more to it, apart from the obvious stuff like security removal from the Memcal, pulse count for the speed sensor etc.

There are huge differences. What body is this in ? Which VN engine, the 1990 update is different to the 89 version & the late VN got the VP engine.

You will get close if it is a VP engine, then you could use a late VR harness.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

I'm guessing you're talking V8?

Its for a VH SL/E. He has a complete VQ 5.0L engine conversion but the 4L60 box didn't come with the engine. I've found a neat VT 4L60E box, harness and ECU for him to use and we were looking at the possibility of using that with the engine. Remembering he has to do all the relay and other associated wiring to make it work regardless of which harness and ECU is used.

OK, I didn't hear V8!!

That will work, but you might need the memcal re-mapped because it will think it's a sequential roller cam motor. As you say a VT dissy will be needed.

He needs a Memcal anyway going down this path, to remove the BCM security and to sort the diff ratio/pulse count out.
I thought it was only the dizzy.
