Having found a great condition 72 HQ, im retiring the 74, transferring the good bits over..namely wheels, steering wheel, suspension, motor and some trim. In keeping with the step up in car, i plan to step up in power just a little. Currently 40thou over 202, larger valves, mildly ported head (probably only flows as well as a blue/black now), 28/68 cam, extractors. I have the X2 manifold and twin stromberg's to go on.

I've been chopping and changing plans for a while now, but now thinking, as i move to a better head (already on way) and the twin carbs...i was planning on upping the cam a little...but perhaps, as i'm investing in roller rockers, a small change in ratio to provide a bit more lift might suffice? Don't want an animal, just a little more than what i've got...no harm in that.

It's going in front of an Aussie 4 speed, with 3.55 gears in the back...i think. Car was originally column shift 3sp.

Cheers for the ongoing help guys...i know you've had several installments of my progression so far... but every little bit helps.
