They were GMH made for Isuzu. The Roadpacer was built for Mazda. |

Interesting stuff. My dad was posted to Hong Kong, 1978 to 1981. We had exclusively Holden Commission cars, purchased as fleet orders from Australia. With one exception, a HZ Statesman DeVille. That was bought by the Aus Commission from the local Holden dealer. AFAIK, no Holden from HQ on was LHD. That was from Holden's earlier export period. The HQ was considered too big for the Asian markets, compared with HK-HG. Ford had some XDs in HK after I left, they were also commission cars.

And two LH Torana's from the Philippines LHD, on Flickr. Sorry all, I know this is an old thread but I saw a YouTube video yesterday about a Holden collector in Thailand, and he had two “HJ” Holdens that were basically HQ Premiers with HJ rear lights, with HQ rear bumpers including lights! Here is the link, they are a fair way into the clip and don’t show enough about them for my liking. Oh, they had diesel engines but I think from the conversation they were later conversions after the original engines died. https://youtu.be/Etv3N57Y_W4?si=sh2hAxNgipPZxypg |

Yes those were assembled over there. I have seen them without paint and they are all butchered to fit the lights. Not sure why it was done for new cars, they look silly. |
