Interesting stuff. My dad was posted to Hong Kong, 1978 to 1981. We had exclusively Holden Commission cars, purchased as fleet orders from Australia. With one exception, a HZ Statesman DeVille. That was bought by the Aus Commission from the local Holden dealer. AFAIK, no Holden from HQ on was LHD. That was from Holden's earlier export period. The HQ was considered too big for the Asian markets, compared with HK-HG. Ford had some XDs in HK after I left, they were also commission cars.
