Ok just after some info...
ive noticed that a waterjacket bung in the side of my 202 is a bit rusty, the ones in the block i think theres is 3 or 4 of them, on the manifold side. Anyway one of them is a bit rusty and it gets a bead of water in it after i drive the car. i'm a bit worried about this as a have a few long trips planned for the car in the next few months, one to lorne and another to the Prom.
My questions are:
Could this Bung let go while im driving... causing me to lose all my water, over heat and stuff the motor??
Should i get it replaced? can i get it replaced?
and also is the cooling system pressurised? and if so, how much pressure?
cheers guys

You should replace them when they start to leak. Not that hard to do on the side, bugger on the rear though. Cooling system pressure is indicated on the radiator cap.

Repco will have them. Replacements are normally brass. You can do them yourself but youll probably have to remove the manifolds to get to them. I normally just punch a hole in them and lever them out. Put a bit of sealant around the new ones and tap them |
