Can anyone tell me if it is possible to fit an input shaft from a m21 gearbox which was bolted to a 253 engine to a 5 speed gearbox from a 202 commodore vk. Also will the bellhousing from the m21 gearbox which was bolted to the 253 engine bolt up to the 202 5 speed gearbox. Or what do I have to do to fit the 202 gearbox to a 253 engine.

for memory the v8 input shaft is slightly longer than the 6 cyl one and Im pretty sure that the bell housing will bolt up to a 5speed but the bell housing will not bolt up to the 202

the ausie 4 spd and the 5spd used in the Commodore 6s are
completely different and you cant swap shafts and bellhousings.
the 5spd if fitted to the 253 cant be expected to last long,
you would need to make an adaptor
