Just read on their site that the Qld. Monaro Club have decided to not run the 2010 Nats.
If they arent interested what's going to happen- No Nats. for 2010 ??
Maybe the Vics. can have another go-2nd time lucky........
Who will run the next Nats. ?

Warwick Yellow, Are you sure this is correct? What a great shame for a club to turn down the chance to run an event that attracts national interest and provides an opportunity to promote the club and to make some money. If as you say, the Victorian club can have another go then we can all benefit as much will have been learned from this last event. Again, from my perspective as a spectator on Saturday the event was great.

Mike.

i guess a million posts of why the recent was crap, and the judges know nothing, and so and so did a better job, and such and such only won cos hes mates with so and so, and so forth, really would make me want to hold such an event.

Surely someone must know the real reason, but seriously, who needs the head fark after all the whinging that is inevitable after the event?

No I dont think that will be the reason. 90% of the crap about the Vic nationals mainly happened because the breakaway members were busting thier bums to have a go at the MCOV.
I dont think this would be repeated in Queensland, theres no axe to grind.

The Monaro club of Queensland decided 6 months ago not to run the 2010 Nationals. The reason being a club decision.

When the presidents attending a meeting in Ballarat, the Queensland club said they would put it to their memmbers again. This has yet to be done.

So the Moanro nationals 2010 is still up in the air until the Queensland club comes back with an answer.

I am not sure when that will happen, but can say that some of the reasons that the club members did not want to host the event have been ironed out. I am not pre empting the result, but looks more promising than the last vote.

Graig also pointed out that the reason the new committee looked like the old committee is that the nationals was declined so Craig ran again for president. Had the nationals been approved I think Craig intended to concentrate on that. So like i said 6 months ago they declined, they are going to ask again.
