Hey everyone,

Im not the most knowledgable when it comes to technical details about cars and motors but Ive heard that you can up the power of a '60s - '70s VW motor by putting a similar age holden carby on it.
Does anyone know what carby from what holden motor you need and which VW motor you can put it on?

Cheers wannadrag91.

hey wannadrag,,
i have no idea, and the gurus in here will surely get back to you soon,
i am sure you can put any carby on it you wsnt, with making adapter plates, etc,
whether this will supply far too much petrol, for the amount of air, for the motor,
more than basketcase than a bear!

Thanks basketcasebear and vintageholden

Im looking for "bolt-on" parts (either volkswagon or other) that are easily found that will give a performance upgrade.
If anyone knows of ANY parts that would fit easily please post here.

Cheers

Best place to look is on the main Volkswagen forum

Personally if I was upping a Beetle performance I would go for a Pobjoy twin plug head built 1916cc with Twin Kadrons and with the right crank, igni
