You have seen an engine management light in a commodore? this light blinks when a problem arises such as maybe an oxygen sensor, or any sensor for that matter and a Tech1 or 2 "diagnostic" read out(hand held)is used to tell you what or where the problem i

hey mate. at work we jsut closed down one of the shops.. all the gear has been brought over to my shop.
Ill have a talk with the big man and see what weve got.
