hey guys help needed
i got a lx torana 308 with a 3dp trimatic
well to start off its taking off in second gear, ive had my mechanic look at it he said its possibly a linkage has broken in it..

secondly it is now leaking everywhere.. all over my exhaust( dont worry im not driving it, i dont wanna catch on fire) mechanic had a quick look at it and said its poosibly the seals have split/broken

so my problem is, so since i have to rip out the transmission to get it looked at more in depth im thinking while its out do i get a full rebuild? and if so how much would this cost? and to be honest i have no idea about this side of things.. i have people telling me to get a torque converter and high stalls and i dunno what these things r?

i do want to be able to manually shift my gears with the shifter thou aswell as just put it in drive

any help would be good, i do live in perth so if anyone knows anyone over hear that i could see/ speak to would be good
