Not a bad price for a 253 HZ Sandman. I wonder how much he actually wanted for it?

Nice van and good to see them pulling serious interest and dollars but geez, why would you pay that for a 253 HZ when a beaut 308 HQ Kingswood ute XX7 only pulls $14500 at auction?

Not bad. nearly as good as mine!! one more thing the pillar/ door pinch weld should be brown to match trim colour, not black. well done to the person who restored it!!!!

Did they have badges on the tailgate when "Sandman" was on it as well?

How ridiculous can it be , if you paid a resto specialist to restore one of these at $65 per hour how long would it take to get to $45,000. Not long i would imagine . Its because most backyard hacks have had a go at these and dont get them right that they cannot see the value .
It may seem like a lot of money and i would struggle to pay it also , but it costs the same to restore (nearly anyway)a HD Holden Special as it does a Sandman. So how much would the HD be worth and hence why most of them are not restored right either.
It may be a good car this one , but a friend of mine in Melbourne said they "Bentleigh Garage" sell a lot of bogged up junk heaps generally as they are greasers .

Everything in life has its price
