Buy a whole car. That way you get the stronger gearbox, diff, bigger brakes etc and it's a standard car which is normally better for insurance.

If you really want forced induction then why not buy a Castlemaine Rod Shop supercharger kit?
I believe that they are available for the VL for under $2000 which is probably a whole lot cheaper than converting your car to a turbo.
