i have a wb ute which has a 202 3 speed auto
and i am looking at engine conversions and 5 speed
i want power but cannot have a v8, turbo or supercharger yet.
Castlemain rod shop say something about a nissan rb30 but i have no idea what they are like compared with a commodore vs v6.
i would like to know if it is worth doing the conversion or stick with the 202 and work it. also what would the best engine be for the ute?
anyhelp will be appreciated

Seriously just drive the 202 as it is until your restrictions are over. Save your $ and go for it when you can if you want. You already win every race before it starts by having a cool car. Think about it. You are next to a VR Commodore V6 at the lights and it turns green. The P plate driver in the VR V6 auto thinks he is a legend because he has a boot spoiler and monster tacho with shift light. You are in your cool WB and just gently drive off from the lights while he is thinking he has a special VR V6 auto and getting in front of you. Care factor should be zero. http://www.ehlimo.com.au/ |

but i also need a powersteering kit for the 202 hah

Do you really need power steering? Toughen up, drive a mans car. My wife has never and said she never will own a car with power steering or air conditioning. Real cars need to be driven, not sat in like a lounge chair. Her car doesnt even have carpet. http://www.ehlimo.com.au/ |

you cannot change your engine from stanard on your ps this conversion would be illegal for you on your ps
seriously mate, save your $$$ and when your off your ps go nuts and do whatever you lke to your car until then if you try to modify your car the police will hastle you and you will get fined
