I did a search on this site, but couldn`t find the answer. I want to fit inertia belts to the front seats. This is `71 vehicle. Is the bottom mount point too low to do this ? When did this change and was the top mount point changed as well. Any photos would be could. Thanks, Peter

Gday peter,
I also have a 71 HQ Monaro that Ive installed these belts to.
Mine are like the LE with the drop link, bolted in no problem
& its been over the pits years ago & they had no issue. Ill
take a couple of pics this arvo & put them up for you.

Not much help with fitting them but I have seen a few HQs with these belts fitted and they have cut into the chrome sill mouldings to get them in which might be something to consider as there must be a few alternative reel sizes/manufactures to avoid doing this.

a go tomorrow.
Dont remember cutting my sill/scuff plate specially as it was a new

Couldnt post the pics, Email sent Peter Ill get them to
you that way.
Found the old part number for them, 1790099 & my 2 year old
Rares catalogue still had them listed but better check their
site out.
No mods to the sill/scuff plate were required, just used the
original lap/sash mounting points & position & fit are good as.
