Hi All,
Am wondering if anyone can assist in factory paint marking for my Monaro or have picks of where they were placed on the undercarriage, diff and suspension.....etc.

Any help would be great cant seem to find much and hope someone has done it before and can assist.

I take it you are talking about production line check marks.

They were not as comprehensive as they are today, so looking at a modern car is of no use.

They used a "medium" green dob of paint on points o the drivers side to indicate that set operations had ben completed.

On the 6 cylinder you will find them on the engine mount bracket, fuel line at fuel pump and the auto dip stick tube.

On V8 I have only seen tham on the tube.

They are also on the wheel allignment spacers.

Hope this helps as a start.

Try this site http://hqpaintmarkings.blogspot.com/ might help with some of the markings, although your vehicle might have come from a different factory and have marks in other places.

Thanks guys definately is a start. Yes Warren thats what i mean.
Car is out of Adelaide plant if that helps.
Mr Jones the link is for a SS you think they would be the same???
