I am trying to decide whether to source a second hand 351 cleveland off ebay an have it fully rebuilt or get a crate engine thats already done.I have heard good and bad things about both from different people but I really want to here from blokes who know.I'm looking for about 400hp of solid, reliable, street only grunt that will be hooked up to an auto in an all original xy.Any advice or experience especially concerning cost would be welcomed.Thanks.

Thats a hard choice mate. Crate engines are quite good but ultimately a bit dearer than you could make but saves a lot of buying seperate parts and running around. Personally a crate motor deprives me of the pleasure of screwing an engine together and having it run, but if thats not your thing, go with a crate. Dont stress , they have warranty
