i have a HR with a 186 and a powerglide and i can get a 308 and a powerglide would it be a ezy swap if i could find a sump to fit?? will the gearbox still endup in the same place or not i know the brakes ,diff and radiator will need to be changed

The V8 powerglide has it's rear mount in a different position, and the speedo cable is on the wrong side. I've seen this conversion done before though. |

before touching anything find an engineer that will let you do it.

Hi Mark.
If you swap the rear extension housing from your old 6 cyl Powerglide box onto the V8 one, you can use your existing crossmember, tailshaft & speedo cable.
