http://cgi.ebay.com.au/H...Cars?hash=item27b0e23720Almost the same options as my Premier, although this one has cloth seat inserts and by the spare may have been optioned with polycast rims. It may have also had twin exhausts. The silver dash tells us that by 3/75 the optioned LSs, Prems etc with GTS dash were still silver. _______________________________________________________ If we all had the same (good) taste, who would buy all the Fords? |

Polycast were optional from HJ onwards across the range. Only time they were standard was HX LE however those were gold not silver, and actually a slightly different rim. I think the first time they were seen on a Holden was on the Ewet in 1972.

Ahh righto, thanks for the info. I cant see if it has variable intermittent wipers but it looks like it is fully loaded so youd assume so. Wouldve been as flash as a rat with a gold tooth back in the day.

My 11/74 Prem hasnt got intermittent wipers as they werent available at HJ release, but im not sure when they became available so this LS may not have them. They were standard fitment to HJ V8 except 253 3 speed and 202 auto from 3/76.

re. polycast wheels - I read an article the other day re. a factory HQ SS Showcar from an early 70s Modern Motor. It had a Premier nosecone, polycast wheels, GTS fenders, leather interior, power window switches in the centre console, rear headrests, etc.

It might be your cars sistr, but it is my brothers LS Mirror twin sister.
His HJ LS is white with dealer painted green roof, green inteior white roof lining. Turn his inside out and it is also this car. His is 253 with steer, now also has cloth seats, air con and power windows.

Its funny Warren how many of the unique stuff is still around. High volumn, run of the mill cars are all but gone, but the unique low volume cars somehow survived. Cars like your brothers, the Ebay LS, my Prem and even the one off stuff starting to show up.

Byron,I think the reason for more unique cars being around maybe because the people that ordered them are unique and just want the car to be like they want it and possibly took really good care of THEIR designed car.Showing a kind of passion when buying a car that they want to be different.I hope that makes some sort of sense,Im sure you know what Im trying to get at..jmo
