Has anybody else had problems with rear side windows cracking in a hq-hz van? These are the single pane windows about a metre long located near the back corner and every single one I've tracked down at the wreckers for either side is cracked up the guts. I've been quoted $140 each for new glass per side and I'm worried that if the problem is caused by the body flexing, I might be wasting my money.
Any advice much appreciated.

Was thanked: 5 time(s) in 5 post(s)
I see where O'Briens are guaranteeing their work in a series of new ads on TV, They are more expensive but maybe worth talking to first for a quote.

body flex is not the problem its usually people trying to remove them or stuff moving in the back of the van hitting the glass.. my van has 4 side windows and all are original with no cracks.mine are 25 years old.

you could always get some perspex ones cut for it. i think vancraft plastics in dandenong (melbourne) do that sort of thing.
