The One Nation Party? No chance there Frank, the Mad Monk put her in the can. You are not allowed to be a politician in this country and actually tell the truth... Edited by user Monday, 9 August 2010 4:11:27 AM(UTC)

I personally wouldnt pay that much for a battery..... but if i could put some perspective on it.... if it its going in a concours HK 327 valued at $175 - $200K as an example then the battery equates to approx 0.5 of 1% OF THE TOTAL VALUE OF THE CAR... lets say the owner of the HK327 restored the car a few years ago and hasnt had to spend a dime for the last few years.... and the only part he is missing to make the car complete is an original tar top battery... $1000 is chump change even for a bettery in his eyes. food for thought Al

over the years i have always got around the $250 mark for those second hand so its not surprising that they would go up in price because people are sitting on there stuff rather than selling it..the last pair of nos ones i bought a year ago and payed $650.. going to church makes you no more a christian than standing in a garage makes you a car... www.classicozwreck.com.au |

hmmm, sorry AL, dunn wanna burst ya bubble or many others that think they are all still up there, halve those figures you posted up in todays market and beyond and you are probably closer to the value of these cars, but still reveleant what you say, sandblasting and this battery is pobably the cheapest part of the resto of any HK-T-G 2 door. why blasting you may ask? because they are so rusty, dunn take em long ....hahahah yeah man; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OL3P1pP1wAQGS man...

Consider this. Someone gets an original NOS numberplate frame and has them reproduced. They get done perfect, undetectable from original. Lets say they enter the market at price for $500 a pair. We would never hear the end of people crying about the ripoff price from a restoration parts supplier. We would never hear the end of people crying about how someone got more points judged than they did, and it's not fair they had reproduction numberplate surrounds. Kindergarten children cry less. Why can't people just grow up and enjoy driving their classic cars. Maybe they should just get into a pink Toyota Yaris. If I had some of those numberplate surrounds, I would crunch them up like pretzels in front of everyone at a trophy presentation. If it is old or rare - Cut it! http://www.ehlimo.com.au/ |

If it doesnt make the wheels go round (eg number plate frame)then its just another pretty up part that ya will have to clean and hope doesnt get a dent .A battery is more of a necessity but what a shocking price .ha ha

If these number plate frames are really worth that amount, I'll pull the front and rear ones off my FC and anyone can have them for $450 inc free postage. Reply here.

I'll repeat:
"If these number plate frames are really worth that amount,"
Does WeWreck have a problem with asking the market rate? If they're not worth that to you, don't buy them. It you think they're a bargain, go for it.
