Here i go, i have just bought a 1970 XW Falcon originally fitted with a 6. I have a 351 cleveland which i intend to fit. Now checking this engine out the numbers tell me it was built in Feb 1976 (JG67SR) before 27A guidelines came out, which according to my information was July 1976. This is where i have my concern, if the original car the 351 was fitted to was built after July 1976 do you think Vic Roads would insist that the engine comply with ADR27a in my XW???

Yes.
But your JG67SR is a fairmont hardtop feb 1976. ADR27A came out in 1/7/76

Thanks Castellan, i was assuming the engine was built in Feb 76 and the car at a later date, not the case as you state, the car was built Feb 76, so the engine would have been built even earlier. thanks again.
