One of the main issues is that they can suffer from the "transmission fluid swap of death" where the heat exchanger in the radiator lets go and dumps coolant into the radiator. This is a BA problem that Ford rectified with the BF.

It's also easily prevented with the BA by fitting a transmission cooler in front of the radiator and disconnecting the transmission lines from the radiator altogether.

Another issue is that the heater blend door hinge breaks. If you buy a replacement blend door from Ford it has a proper metal pin for the hinge so it won't ever break again but it's a $700 dash out job to fit the door.

Shuddering brakes can also be an issue even with new rotors but I've been told that if you fit the rotors and use a dial gauge to measure runout you can fit the rotors onto the studs five different ways and you go with the way that gives you the least runout or get the rotors machined on the car. I've also been told that slotted rotors don't shudder anywhere near as bad (probably because they are not Chinese crap).

I've only had my BA for 4 days but I did some reasearch before buying one.

you could also spend ages reading through these:

Vandals and graffiti "artists" do everyone a favour and target parking meters and fixed speed cameras only.
