Hey guys,

How hard is it to replace the body mount bushes on a wb ute?

Any tips?

Do I just jack up the cab vs the chasis?

Never done it, so any help would be great.

Hi there,
I have replaced the under body mounts onmy ute and found I had to undo all the body mount points. Two (per side) under the firewall, one on each side behind the back of the cabin and the two at the back of the ute under the rear tail lights. When I had removed the all the bolts I was able to raise the body off the chassis and remove the old bushes and insert the new bushes, one at a time. I replaced mine with the Urethane type, and after about a month I was so dissapointed, I pulled them out and replaced them with the original rubber type. So much better. The two front radiator mounts are replaced at the same time.
I put a small amount of rubber grease on each bush as I inserted it.The whole job took me about 3 hours.
good luck

I am a rubber man ( that sound bad)

I have done all my bushes on the front end.

wannabe51 - these are the two bolts under the car ?

also did you use a jack to raise the car up ? (I am thinking a block of wood etc)

Just looking at the pic, look like three mounts.

Hi Klob,
That is a good illustration you have posted. Wish I had that when I did mine.
I used a small hydraulic jack on the sill ( with a block of wood) to raise the body.
When I did it I had all of the mount undone.
Good luck. cheers Dave
