I've just found a VQ Statesmen IRS rear end. its a complete rear end. might be a bit ambitious, but i had an idea to get it engineered to fit my HG. any comments? id fit a new LSD centre, diff ratio, blah blah blah.

If you can weld, then it's not an unreasonable idea.
Why change the ratio when it's already a 3.08:1....probably the optimum ratio for a 308 dependant on transmission type.

thanks for ya answer, taz2. i figured the 3.08:1 would be too low, im running a 4500rpm stall...
