staring trouble....

anyone know why my f/lane would want to start when it feels like it????......
i have all dash lights etc...
when it happens....i still have all power etc..just won't turn over...yet if i leave it for awhile and come back...it starts!!!!!!....any info would be greats thanks...

I'm betting my $ on your battery. Check the acid level in the battery. If low? Top it up with boiled water. Throw it on charge over night and see how it goes. I bet it'll start but the real test will be the next morning. If it's dropped a cell? You need a

well the battery is fine
i have noticed that when i go to start it and it won't...i hit the dash and away it goes...
is this what is known as a DRY JOINT in the wiring loom???

Don't no if this will help.I had a Charger do that.It was a loose connection where the main harness bolted to the firewall.Tightened the 10mm bolt worked fine.

Hi Mick, i dont know if this is relevant to your engine but I had an EA that had exactly the same problem! It turned out to be the TFI module that is bolted to the side of the distributor housing. Looking at the workshop manual shows that both 6 and the

Hey with eb and ed falcons they have a module under the dash i dont remember what side of the column but these modules do tend to play up and need to be replaced.Cause if you hit the dash and the car starts might be your problem.hope it helps.

hiyas, i have a NC fairlane , i changed my stereo and now the car kicks over but wont start any one got any ideas???????
