HELP NEEDED!
I am in the process of restoring my (late) fathers HX Monaro to original condition. Obviously this project is pretty sentimental to me, so am pretty annoyed to find out that the panel beater which I have employed to strip and repaint only tells me now after stripping it that he actually doesnt know where to paint the black strips etc.
So I have sourced GTS logo & flute stencils, but I am not sure of exact distance, height, widths etc of black strip (including thin line on outer edges) on bonnet, also black strip on bottom of doors and boot.
If someone could shed some light on this or at least point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.

My HJ has been given an HX treatment (in terms of bonnet / side stripes and blackouts, etc). If you don't have any joy anywhere else, I can measure up and photo for you.

I know Norm Darwin's book Monaro Magic details the position of stripes etc for the earlier models but I'm not sure if it does for HX. I will have a look this evening unless someone else can shed some light on it for you.

Hi Sprato

I am pretty sure that Monaro Majic does have that detail in there for the HX - it certainly does for the HJ model (locations, distances and paint codes).

Should be able to find a copy in any good book store.

Cant recall where I picked these diagrams from, but for HQ they seemed to be right on the money.
