^^^

All depends if the ones nessy has are the genuine HK ones. Those ones sold on ebay are not original HK ones and are worth what they sold for.

Original HK ones are worth $200 a set minimum. So if they are mint then $300 is about on the money for them.

Hi all,
Mine are different to the ebay ones as they have the bend on them and not straight down like the old corvette style.
The cast numbers are as follows
LH 3855163 GM
RH 3855184 GM
Hope this helps
Cheers
If someone could help me out with uploads, as i cant seem to put up the pics

You can be lucky sometimes on eBay - look at this set which went for $55.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/H...ries&hash=item5ae01e9271

Can't be absolutely certain but I reckon these are the right ones - casting numbers on these manifolds are often difficult to read and I suspect this is the case with this set. IF these are what they appear, the buyer got a bargain.

they were a cheap buy but as the story goes you get what you pay for. Mine on the other hand are already in the shed so if anyone one day does want a good set they know where they are.

Some peculiar numbers turning up here i.e 3855184. Is that 184 supposed to be a 164 ?. I have on my 327 3855164. Dated L 8.7 ( 8th of dec 1967 correct me if I'm wrong) and the other 855163A notice no 3 at the start of that number and dated C 8. (8th of march, correct me if I'm wrong). In 3855184 I think if you compare closely the 1st and 2nd 8 in that number they are very different, on left side of the 1st digit ( 8 ) it has 2 bulges and the second ( I think is a 6) has straight side or one large bulge. Apart from that I can not find a 3855184 in any chev literature. Is any one prepared to say quite definatively it is 3855164 or 184 ? ....Oh are they the only manifolds factory fitted to the 1st type 81837 327 are'nt they ?.......Jack

3855163 and 3855164 are the numbers . The 6 probably just looked like an 8 .
Jack you do get pretty serious and wound up about all these subjects !

Thanks Sebring Orange, well maybe sometimes I may seem that way to you and some others. You must admit that if everyone was just like you or me most others would think things were rather boring. What do they call it ? ....variety. Though if you're in the buy swap and sell section of the this forum identifying the item correctly could mean a sale or not. Anyway thanks Sebring Orange for taking some time out of your day to respond to my comment....oh by the way, it's your shout.....Jack
