Mornin' all,

Just changed the disk brake pads on the front of my HG. Old pads were nearly all gone but did have a very small amount of pad left.

Since changing the pads, the brakes now grip like s#!t, which is great - but now I am noticing that when I brake normally from say 80KM/h, there is a lot of shudder (or vibration if you like) from the brakes. It's like driving on a really rough road, but as soon as you release the brake pedal all is smooth again.
Can also notice it when hard on the brakes at 60 or under, but at slower speeds a smooth gentle pedal push does not cause the vibration.

Any ideas for what causes this? The discs do not seem warped to the naked eye - very smooth like they were machined in the last year or so. There is 1 deep groove on the inner (chassis) side of the RHS disk, but otherwise all smooth and flat.

Oh, during pad replacement the calipers were not removed at all, just pad out, new pad in.

More than likely your Rotors need machining - the new compound is more grippy (sensative to high spots) or the new pads are slightly wider (1mm ?)and catching on the previously unused area of ur Rotor. 1.Try champhering ur new pads (costs nothing),2.Check
