Hi all ,can anyone confirm whether or not an HK ute could have been ordered with GTS guards and hubcaps and therefore be considered as O.E.M. and then qualify for historic car club registration.

The GTS wheels trims yes, but the GTS guards no, not from the factory anyway, but the new car dealer may have fitted them to the car before delivery.

This whole topic of originality for the sake of historic rego differs markedly from state to state & in NSW varies from club to club.

You don't mention what state you're in, but in NSW the exact RTA's wording in the rules is:- "Vehicles must be as close to original condition as possible, with NO alterations except for safety features. "
The problem is that that they don't define 'original'. Do they mean the way it left the factory, or the way it left the selling dealership when new. They may have fitted them at the buyer's request.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
