This year is my 18th trip,so I can claim some experience.
I stick with the general admission for the 4 days. Depends if you want a grandstand seat or paddock pass.

Have you arranged accomadation yet? There won't be much left by now.
I get there on the friday of the weekend before the race and mark out our "corporate box" at McPhillimy Park.

We camp at the McPhillimy ground. Also bear in mind the ever tightening alcohol restrictions there as the fun police tighten their grip. Would pay to look at the website I'd take earpugs, sturdy boots and a raincoat And warm clothes. Gets a bit cool out.
And if you're camping- a pair of thongs. The things I've seen left in the showers............go barefoot there at your own risk.
Email me for more of my ratbag opinions if ya want.

Go so my mate mates up the hill at the No Sh!t Hotel, I wouldn't mention that you are Bathurst Virgin as they will chaim you to a tree!

The best thing for you do is get a GA ticket and watch the race from several locations, Ie the Chase, pit straight, Hell Corner and upi the hill. It's a big day so all this is possible, that is unslee you get chained to a tree!

But make sure you are at the start finish line 10 laps before the end!

Yeah there are some campsites that do the "virgin" BS. Some in ours
do. I don't agree with it.

I've staggered/crawled past the No s*** Hotel a few times in my day.
That end of town is a lot quieter since the fun police moved in.

For campsite have a look at this one. One of the best on the mountain.

Yep, everything they said is right if you stay at the top of the mountain, we stay at the chase camp ground, only a few metres away from the fence at the back of the motel near the dunlop bridge, you will need to take a good pair of ear plugs because unless you have a gut full of grog, you wont get much sleep no matter where you stay, except for maybe the motor home park, LOL. But they are all right, it is a great weekend of racing on one of the best circuts in the world. Make sure you get around to all the vantage points to watch, some of the best spots for me are, mcphilamie, we usualy go up there to watch the quals, watching the cars go through there and seeing how close they go to the wall at the speeds they are travelling is unreal, the dipper, forest elbow and the chase. You wont regret going.

OH and there is a camp ground in town if you cant get a site at the track, I think it is the show grounds and also at one of the schools there is buses that will take you to the track from these camp sites and i think from memory breakfast is thrown in with the one at the school. i know this is not as good as the track, but at least you will still be there and you might get some sleep, LOL.
