Would anyone be able to help me ID this type of trim material please.

It is now in a HQ SS so it is not correct for that but I have been told that it may well be XD or XE Falcon trim material.
Any help will be greatly appreciated Cheers Paul.

Think I saw trim like this in a XF S pac once. Very similar. I'd be going back to the original HQ trim if there's a choice

Thanks for the replies guys.
So it would seem that Ford trim material could be a correct id for this material then.
The car will have the correct trim installed by its owner in the future I am sure.
The reason for trying to ID the trim was the fact that it looks like the trim on this Ultra Violet SS as well.

And I am trying to work out if it was the same trim or not.
Unfortunately not a great picture to work with though .
I think they are slightly different but not too sure.
Cheers Paul.

Is it possible one of the Holden dealers did a special trim option like Mcloud Ford did with its Horn cars?
I'm going back a lot of years but I think I remember seeing a couple of holdens with trim like that so
it may not be taken from a Ford. Bit more searching and digging might be required. Can you get the trim specs
off the compliance plate?

Thanks again Paul.
The trim code is 10C so this was not original for either car.
10C looks like this.

It looks like we have got to the bottom of this one.
I re posted this in the Holden section and this is a reply I received from we wreck 81837s

its neither, XD XE in S pac had similar but no cigar on that type pictured. the fabric pictured is just a generic replacement cloth/fabric that was available from automotive and marine trim suppliers and readily used by by car yard etc to patch up and brighten up shabby trims in the early days

This explains the similarity but the fact it was not quite right.
Cheers Paul.

Agree the XD XE S pack trim is close but there are less stripes.

Colours are very similar though. The response is indeed 100% correct.

I think the original trim beats it hands down. Can you still get it?

Thanks for the confirmation gcg2503.
Paul yes the trim is available it is called Houndstooth for the insert sections and Roebuck' type grain of vinyl
for the rest of the seats.
Door trims were std early HQ Belmont trims.
The later SS's came out with Rado Flax inserts

Which is slowly becoming more available.
Thanks again for the help guys Cheers Paul.

Quite sure SMS Auto Fabrics in teh USA would be able to do a houndstooth trim

http://www.smsautofabrics.com/

This is where a lot of difficult stuff is sourced from ie vinyl roof, vinyl trim, cloth trim etc

Thanks heaps for that.
I am always being asked about suppliers, so that is a good one to have.
Cheers Paul.
