Rear station wagon seat into a van ???

Hi all.
Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of or tried this conversion. Ive been told that as vans have the same chassis as wagons, its possible to cut out the section behind the vans seats, put in a new floor pan and put rear seats from a wagon, which can then fold down so you can still use it as a van. I guess youd need to put coupe seats in the front for rear seat access. I'm talking about a HQ in particular. Sounds a bit odd, but Im battling with the age old concept of expanding the family, but keepimg the boy toys. Would like to hear what the collective wealth of knowledge on this sits thinks of this?

It has been attempted before and unfortunatly you have been misinformed...the HK/T/G panel vans use the same floor pan as a wagon and is a relatively minor job...as far as the HQ goes...No Im afraid...the vans share the same chassis as a ute the wagon how

yes it can be done the hq to wb in ambulance form vans had 3 doors and a seat in them have photo of out side of a wb 3 door van email me at [email protected] and will send it to you Edited by user Saturday, 23 April 2005 8:21:13 AM(UTC)
