How Can you tell what month it was built or didn't they do that back then only went on build No. Do any of the No say what engine it came out with?

HK Brougham built in the Dandenong (Melbourne) plant.
Painted Paragon Blue Metallic, with Dark & Light Teal Interior trim.
All HK Broughams had a 5-litre V8 (307 Chev) & Powerglide drivetrain.
No idea on the build date, someone else on here (who records tag nos.) might be able to help. HK Broughams were released in July 1968 & were replaced by the HT version in June 1969. Compliance plates with stamped dates weren't introduced until Jan 1970.
To get some idea of the build month, many components on the car are individually dated. Things like the steering box, alternator, starter motor, dash instruments etc. These have their own dates & they are around 1-2 months earlier than the car itself, depending on the item.

81469 = Brougham
K = HK
J1 = Dandenong
27601 = Sequence number
