I have a pair of nos lower wishbones for a hk monaro, I was putting the pivot pin and the bushes in and realized that the wishbones didn't have a thread in them for the bush to screw into, I was just wondering how you get the tread into the wishbones?

For HK, the bushings cut the threads. The final torque is 90-110 ft-lbs for a new wishbone.
You are supposed to use a spacer special tool, part number 3A11 between the inner of the wishbone and the crossmember to get the correct spacing and preload on the wishbone. Some just eyeball it, but I've also seen them for sale on fleabay. Search on NEW DISC FRONT END LOWER WISHBONE BUSH INSTALLING TOOL FOR HK HOLDEN + MONARO, although the price seems excessive.
