62 year old Joan Goldsworthy had her car stolen from her driveway in Springvale, Victoria. The car was found in complete disarray with many of its more valuable and virtually irreplaceable pieces, being stolen.

Joan, as a single pensioner could not afford insurance and thus had no way to repair the vehicle.

A host of companies banded together to lend a hand and fix the damaged vehicle.

Joan was presented with her beloved fully restored ‘indy orange’ 1971 Holden Monaro, reconditioned not only to its former glory but to a level all motoring enthusiasts would envy.

Within a two week period the following parts and labour went into Joan’s Monaro at an estimated value in excess of $22,000.

In this and the story of DONSHR that was in the Herald Sun over a lengthy period after his HR Special wagon was found after sitting in a creek bed for 15 years after it was stolen - and was then restored, shows the amazing heart and generousity of the industry for our great cars and our great people.

Well done from the HD HR Holden Club of Vic. and all Holden Lovers :)

Well done everyone involved.....this was a very good thing for caring people to do for someone who obviously loves their car....
Ive had possesions stolen in the past, and know the deeply disturbing feelings it brings upon someone...
To receive the Monaro back, and in restored condition must have made her day, i was chuffed when i heard about this story...
Good on you all for the fantastic job done.
It made my day too!
