I have done nothing to it yet (Had to rebuild bootem end of Silvia waiting for the funds to roll in) But she has a 253 (Baby 8 for a small girl), genie extractors, 350 holley carb just very small ****. 265s on the back. (cant wait to replace them haha) GTS dash, gotta get steering box and pump due to too many donuts. It gets me to and from work. I like it.

He He! Theres nothing wrong with a 253! Just cos theyre the baby V8s doesnt mean theyre slow! A mate of mine has one in his torry - runs 14 seconds! The old school cars always have more character hey!! Id rather drive mine than todays equivalent!

Keep goin hard - wanna see pics when you do your next mod!

Thats cool! Sounds alright! Id rather hear my motor over the stereo anyways, and i cant hear the stereo while im on the highway *arm out the window making the most of the Queensland air-con that i have*! It the only way to cruise! Ill have to wait til i get home from work until i can see the picture - thursday night... Cant wait!

Ahh, commy seats! now I get it - its been bugging me as to why the passenger seat looked to be a different shape in the pic... its cause they are seat covers I can see! hehe... Sounds like a sweet ride, you just cant beat the sound of an 8 no matter how many cubes it has.

not a bad looking car, hjs are awesome cars. theres pics of mine in peices under BLWNHJ if you can be bothered looking tho.
dont worry bout the size of the motor i used to think 253s were not worth it but i know a guy that got one to run a 8.9s 1/4.
as long as you like it and your having fun.

Ive had a fair few people ask me what is under the bonnet. Because the exhaust is under the tray it makes it sound twice as tough. Ive been told 253s are very hard to destroy? I have looked at pictures of your HJ very nice How long did it take?

Yes, I know how you feel. I gotta replace the power steering box and pump and have to drive the Silvia around. Yes it is better on fuel, yes it is a manual and yes it picks up speed very quick, but it is nothing like the sheer grunt of my ute (I drive it when i can put up with a squeal)

its leaking from the pump and box and goes through about 3 ltrs of fluid in 3 days. So when i want to drive it i put in that lucas stop leak it takes longer for it to leak out.

well I can get a pump and box off a mate for $140.00 but the seals are probably screwed so It might be better to get a seal kit. I live in Queensland, in a small town in the bush.
