I just bought a EF V8 and it doesnt seem to have the power it should..
when u press on the accelerator its hard to push in and then it clicks past something and then starts going, as if it is ctaching on something..thats not all tho, when i floor it, it does nothing until about 60, when i take my foot off until its almost out when i can feel difference in the feel of the accelerator it starts taking off but not as much as it should..

Can anyone please tell me wot they think is goin on????

Hi Jonesy, Have you had a look at the accelerator cable to make sure there are no problems there. My old EA had something similar going on when i bought it and it turned out to be a cable that had a disintegrated outer casing. Otherwise all I could sugg

Nah i have gone over the cable and that looks almost new..unless its the cable inside?? it got serviced a week ago b4 i picked it up so they rekon..i think it may have sumthin to do with the throttle body..coz i cant think wot else it could be coz it has

Remove the intack tube and have a look at the throttle body. It should be clean down the bore and on the edge of the throttle plate. Clean it with carby cleaner and a old toothbrush (or your girlfriends). The throttle plate should be free in the bore. Als
