Nice car mate, im doing exactly the same as you. I have a HK in the panelbeaters now which was originally a base model and im turning it into a Warwick yellow GTS with 307/powerglide. Just wondering if thats a HT/G subframe on the car as I dont see any grille mounting brackets. At the moment im using a HG subframe as I cant find a good HK unit and was wondering how you fitted the HK grille? Also do you have any more interior pics? Cheers, Glenn.

Front seats retrimmed and very happy. now just for the rechromed dash pieces and woodgrain. Gday Glenn afaik the subframe is HK. mounting spots on each corner of grill. The subframe was the one that came and was bolted to the shell and was in great shape. Unless this was changed prior to me owning the car i dont know. Looks great Paul. Who did you get to do your interior stuff as ive been dealing with a well known company that I wont name here who have been stuffing me around by taking months with my parts and not bothering to reply to emails and sending back damaged parts that they want me to pay to have redone, after already paying a truckload in the 1st place. And is that repro seat vinyl the same as original? Any more pics you have would be great. Cheers, Glenn.

Hi Bluez. Nice looking HK. Hope youre happy with the Saginaw. Ive struggled with mine for years now. Just cant get rid of some of the noises, particularly in the indirect gears. Put in a new cluster at great expense, but still not happy. Let us know what you think of yours. Is it a 2.54?

gday AMunro327, the saginaw is a 2.54, and im alot happier with the extra gears..as for noise i think they are known to be a bit clunky, but this one seems pretty good so far. The box had new bearings and we put a new countershaft in it. 2nd and 3rd really rev out and is an enjoyment to drive. Did have a little issue with the hydraulic clutch, with everything being new it was really grabby, but now has settled down and engages nicely.

INSPIRATIONAL!!! and in the background of your photo I can see our little encampment on the hill in the trees. The event was a little dissapointing as it was the first of the 40th anniversary events. But all the cars were just awesome. Great job, you should be justifiably proud of this achievement.
