A 9" in an HR??? What the?

IMHO, do not fit a 9"...you will lose LOTS of power just turning the diff and you will ruin any handling that you now have. An HR is WAAAAY too light to effectively use a 9" diff.

Is your diff leaking where the tailshaft

Hi Mark, When you did the diff I suppose you mean that it was out of the housing when you put it back together did you use any gasket goo or just the gasket, did you tighten it up in the right sequence did you clean it properly? Just a few thoughts before

Sequence is just like doing up a wheel but more bolts but with blue glue would copensate for any gap. Stupid question but what about the drain plug any goo on that.

I had a similar problem a few years back with my LJ The diff exploded on the freeway after changing the centre I always had a leak caused by the diff housing having a slight warp in it. If you are interested in upgrading the diff have a look at a volvo it
