I HAVE A 1999 VT ACCLAIM SERIES 2 V6 WHICH HAS DIFFERENT DASH WARNING LIGHTS COMING ON AND OFF.
THESE INCLUDE ABS, ENGINE, TRACTION AND IN THE DIGITAL SERVICE WINDOW IT COMES UP WITH *SERV ERROR* DONT KNOW WHY ITS HAPPENING AND NO FAULT CODES ARE COMING UP ON THE TESTING. LOCAL DEALERSHIP NOT SURE EITHER SO ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

Ho holdparts.

Seems strange that the local dealership isnt sure, this is a very common fault & not just on Commodores either.

The ABS control module needs replacement. I stock them, reconditioned, much cheaper than new, with 2 years warranty.

Dr Terry.
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Thank heavens! I thought I was the only one with a dodgy VT Calais. All the warning lights and bells go off nearly every trip, except (usually) first thing in the morning. Its driving me crazy, was about to get the car an exorcism!

Hi Dr. Terry,

I have just entered this thread because my VT is experiencing the same problems that the other subscribers reported. ABS, Trac Off, Engine Warning Lamp and Air Bag light comes on after about 15 mins driving. Both fans kick in, temperature gauge freezes, AC doesnt work. These symptoms sometimes disappear after another 15-20 mins. The low oil pressure lamp also comes on at the same time but not in every case. Sounds like the ABS module problem you suggest. Any help or contact email would be appreciated.

Cheers
