A bit more rust work on it today.
It looked like this.

So I folded these up with my homemade sheet metal folder.

The rusty bit removed.

As you can see the boot floor is U/S as well. That will be done after the quarters are finished.

There are a few steps in between but this is after welding trimming and a quick grind back.
Not too bad for a backyard rust removal.

I still need to make the inner section and fit it in and then give it all grind up and that bit will be done.

For more pictures of the steps in between go here.

and here.

Time for another update again.
Still not much work has been done on the SS but it has been out and about again.
We took the SS out for a run on Australia Day and ended up down near the Old Power House.

This was followed by Oldholden Perth Cruise 19.
Pictures from that cruise can be found here.
http://gallery.oldholden.com/Croozin/pc19/

Then off on a camping trip again.
First stop the new Harvey Dam.

Then the final destination ended up being Glen Mervyn Dam

This was followed by the Warrona Aussie Car show.
Pictures of that can be found here.

My older sons car has not got much further along unfortunately but now the 253 and 5 spd have been fitted.
Prior to this the gearbox was cleaned up and painted.

Then the whole lot was fitted.

Since these pictures were taken it has been running but not a whole lot more has happened to it
than that.
Cheers Paul.

Late edit.
I just noticed that I have not posted links to our newer HQ SS related photobucket account.
http://s300.photobucket.com/albums/nn14/HQSS1972/
This now has over 1000 images of SS's, including SS group members cars, road tests from the 70's and all other SS related things that we can find.
So if you are interested in HQ SS's check it out.
We also now have a web forum here
http://www.concourseparts.com.au/forum/
For anyone in that is interested.

Thanks T-Dog.
Most of the interior has now been refitted.
Just have to change and paint a few other things and most of the interior will be ready for use.
A couple of pictures of it have been added here.

Cheers Paul.
