Well, I lowered the front over the weekend.

Now the body at the front (bottom of the fender below the flutes) sits 140mm off the ground and the lowest point being the steering arms are 120mm off the ground.

Im making some 60mm lowering blocks at work this week so they should be in this weekend. Thatll drop the rear so the side of the body will be 160mm off the ground, and the lowest point being the diff centre will be 105mm off the ground.

Im keeping it above 100mm as I was told at the pits with a previous car that its illegal to have the lowest point on a car below 100mm.

Need to get some wider rims now, these 13" x 5" Cheviots just dont cut it.
Looking at some black and chrome Hotwires atm that are 13" x 7".

Its good to see another HR getting saved. When you go to get your wide rims make sure that you get the offset right.I have pics of 11x20x13 slicks under the back of our HR here
http://gallery.oldholden...m/HQ_SS/HR+pics/Our+HR/
Keep up the good work Paul.

Hi Paul,
I like the slicks under the rear of your HR :)
Just a quick question, do you know what the factory wheel offset is?
Thanks mate,
- Chris.

Didnt end up getting the wider rims as Im out of funds at the moment.
Ive got heaps of ideas on what to do with her but Ive first got to get some spare money together and then choose what to do first.
Ebay has given me too many ideas =P

Found a rim so the measurements are. Inside, from the inside flange to the outside edge of the rim it is 87mm and on the outside at the outside face of the flange to the rim edge it is 50mm.

Thanks Adam, Ive got your number but at the moment Ive got a cash flow problem...its going into too many bills so Im not allowed to spend coin on the car =(
VH, thanks for the info on what size you ran on your HR.
This is my mates SLR5000 replica, hes running 13x8 rims on the front and 14x8 rims on the rear, the 13s still look okay. Depends on what I come across first though I guess.

Bloody Stromberg carbies =\
On Sunday the Stromberg on my 202 failed nicely when I went to go to a mates house to watch Bathurst. It decided to drop fuel out of the float area all over the intake manifold, headers and leave a nice pool on the garage floor.
Okay, no worries I thought, its just really old and decided to give up. So I unbolt it later that night and fit another Stromberg which was identical except there was a big brass type adjusting screw under the float area. So I primed the new carby by cranking the big ol 202 over and after awhile it fired up.
So I take it to work on Monday, then when I went home it had a hiccup as I was warming it up where any pressure to the throttle and it would stall. So I adjusted the mixture and it seemed fine so I drove home.
Went to go to work this morning and the damn thing refused to fire =(
Theres no fuel at all being squirted out of the jets but it does have a small amount of fuel dripping every now and then from under the float chamber.
Im going to check the mechanical fuel pump when I get home, if its that Ill replace it with the one from my spare 202 hoping it still works.
If its the carby then the only other spare carby I have is my Holley 350 but I cant use that until I buy a throttle cable kit as Im still using the throttle rod.
