warren this particular drive line has stamped near
engine casting number k11 and gearbox on the flywheel k9 plus raised lettring 795 modular ...
am i right to say same plant but one shipped on the 9 th day and the other on the 11th day and both are date coded 1971

I missread I thought you were looking at the engine number. Not a casting number expert on Chevs, Byron might be able to asnwer.

which is the best way around getting this car looked at .
confirm that car is numbers matching etc... ???
via a club ? anyone independant? , gmh dealership ?

Local clubs sometimes have people that can confirm cars. Dealerships would not know anything about an HQ, other than they once sold them.

am i right by quoting ther were 18 coupes made and 54 sedans
this total 72 cars , i beleive most parts are all date coded 71
and released in 73 , what the real story behind them ?????

anyone know theres a flow 71, 72, 73, where they intended to be raced at bathurst and why were they de tuned to 275hp? Trevor
