4" bore with 400 crank is 377ci. It becomes 383ci when bored +0.030". Most people call them 383 though, as are stroked 308s called 355 when the capacity is 350ci (5.7L) as HSV built them. I do understand the 383 thing as its not a factory capacity, but 355 is blatantly wrong otherwise every 30 thou up 202 should be a 205, or 308 should be 312 or whatever it is.

Ever tried finding 4.00" pistons or a holden block that will take 4.00" pistons after doing 11ty million miles?

most of the engine guys advertise them as 355 because they are taken straight to +0.030 so OTS and readily available chev pistons can be used and most of the kits are supplied with +0.030" for the same reason.

so while youre correct, your kinda not as well lol.

11.38@117mph

11.34@121mph
went quicker and faster, just not quick enough.

now being rebuilt with less cam, much less comp, and a turbo.

A mob in Castlemaine makes 2" BBC into HKTG headers that work with standard steering box. I bought a set for a BBC dyno run. Plan to put them into my HK with a centrifugally blown 454 at a later date. There are a couple of low rise BBC manifolds that should keep things under the hood.
