G'day,
I saw on the rare spares website they are bringing out rear quarter sections to weld in, which 6 pieces are they going to be?
Also they had the wheel arch mouls up in coming soon section but no price, do you know roughly how much a set will be worth?? They look sweet, cant wait.
Cheers

Matt
The quarter panel pieces will be 3 left hand and 3 right hand 1. From edge of front door to centre of wheel arch and from the quarter window to wheel arch. 2. from centre of wheel arch to tail lamp and from tail lamp to bottom of quarter. 3 will follow the roof line above the quarter window.
We have not finalised a price on the wheel arch moulding as we have already had 3 price rises and we have not received stock as yet. I would guess at between $750.00 & $850.00 per set

The fan shrouds are all plastic, that way we get consistent shape and supply. There are also two more under test now 7437550 for HT HG 253/308 & 2809822 for HT HG 350 no air.

Does it also have the part number on the shroud?

7437550 had the number moulded in.Ill see if we can get it done.2809822 didnt. The problem is that we had a very damaged sample to mould from and it was broken in the area around the part number.

I was at the Monaro nationals and noticed Rare Spares had a HK 307/327 shroud in plastic. However no part numbers and also no ribs on the side like the original. Any reason why the ribs could not be part of the mould?

While some articles can be reproduced using the technology available today there are others that require a significant amount of tooling expense for a small volume to achieve the end result. Some original shrouds were plastic injected into a mould that to reproduce today would be over A$100,ooo each.Economically it is not viable. The wheel arch moulds are one item that has had a lot spent on it but the end product justifies the cost.I would like your thoughts on those.

The sample set of Wheel arch moulds (LHF & LHR) only were on display at the Nationals and attracted a lot of interest. The complete sample set are due soon and once approved will be in production. There was a pair of the rust repair sections as well.
