Hi all, approaching final stage here and can't quite remember if the 'H' shaped seat floor to bracket insulators (spacers) go on the floor or the carpet. A lot of years since I saw it but seem to remember the insulators being gloopped onto the floor and then carpet on top of them? Doesn't seem right somehow though so any help welcome here. SideNote: recommended gloop for various body parts welcome too.

Hi 327Prem.

Both the spacers & the seat bracket itself are bolted to the floor & the carpet is cut to go around & clear the vertical part of the seat bracket.

The only 'gloop' in that area is to seal the bolt threads thru the floor or a thin layer s
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Hi Dr Terry and thankyou for that - it certainly makes sense. Can you recommend an available sealant for those bolts and other sealant such as a replacement for that thick white stuff between taillights and body. Thanks again.

you can buy seam sealer at most auto stores and you can apply it a lot neater than the factory
