Hi guys. i flew to SA today to pick up a sandman i won on EBAY. won it for $7600. i got there and. sills full of rust, rear beaver and plenium too rusty. The van is licenced with a 350 chev and powerglide.
i got him down to $4000, but decided against it.....as i want something with less work to do
However its still not a bad buy, motor and box would have to be worth $2K..... the chev ran well and is a 3970010 block, rochester (76-79) and a late HEI.
The van is windowless, brisbane built XX7, L31, M21 and supposed to be Atlantis blue. 2/78 build. Chassis matches tags, and not rusty around the bumper brackets. full headling, new tailgate, tailgate upper is good, as so are the doors. Twin headlight front with HX deville grille. Trim is poor. no console 280,000 km from memory. Reasonably good gutters too
the guys name is Troy and is 15 minutes south of Adelaide CBD. He is very keen to sell, and had a baby born last week.

I agree with ALL the above, however if he didnt sell it there is 2nd chance offers and relisting aswell ,we dont all sell things the first time around and that should be a lesson to describe items truthfully. ps i went lookin for it aswell..lol..(just being curious!)

Yeah, the next highest bidder missed out.
its one thing to win it on ebay, but its another thing to reach into your pocket and pull out the cash for something that you now dont want. It not like i wasnt a serious buyer, i flew over there specifically to buy it....
