I have a VY SS series 2 with a 6 speed manual gearbox. I am having trouble getting the reverse gear all the time with this car. It feels like it is in gear and goes into reverse but when you go to move it makes a grinding noise then you have to try and find reverse again.

Any info or help on this situation would be great

Have to agree with Dylan...go see Mr Holden.

I have had this problem about twice with mine...put it back into neutral, let clutch out, push clutch back in and it is usually OK after that.

Cheers...Dave

Mine has only done it about twice in 46,000 K's. I may have put it into first before trying reverse again to get the gearbox innards turning.

The BEST way to get a definitive answer before you go see Mr Holden is do a search on http://www.LS1.com.au (o
