Hi Holden fans, has anyone got these tyres or had any reports on how they perform ? Longevity, grip, handling etc.... ? I have just bought a set for my Hg Panno... 265/50/15 and 215/60/15.. They look quite good on 15 Inch Chrome banded GTS Rims with custom offset... and are made in the USA.... Thanks for any advice :-) Cheers, Ant

John Cain sells a lot of this stuff still. He still has the same mobile as when he had the shop in Broadmeadow.

There arent too many options when it comes to old school style tyres, relatively speaking. I know a couple of people whove shod their cars with Mastercraft following the advice of some good mates at a tyre shop. Havent had them long enough for a thorough review but so far, so good. Even though its early days youd know it if the tyre was rubbish very quickly. |

In 14s, 15s & 16s there is actually quite a bit available. just dont go to Antique Tyres as they will rip you on the price.
I bought a set of the GT radials in 14s, paid $115 each and they are a pretty good tyre to drive on. I got them through my local Bridgestone tyre joint. I was told that the GT radials were better than the Mastercraft.
Good Luck.

but there isnt too much choice in 265 / 295 widths though, for 14" or 15".

Thats what i was referring to with old school style. Wide tyres in 14 or 15inch. Plenty or little production cars still have 14inch rims, and relatively modern small cars still had 13s, so theres a huge range available. But try get any wider than about 215, especially in 14 inch, and you dry up very quickly. Anything wider than whats considered a small car passenger tyre is a very low volume item. |
